Bio

Charlie Tuggle is executive vice president and general counsel for First Horizon Corporation and is responsible for oversight of all company legal matters including compliance with securities, corporate, and banking laws.

Tuggle joined the company in 2003 as FHN Financial’s chief risk officer, having previously practiced law as CEO with Baker Donelson for 30 years.

Tuggle holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction and Phi Beta Kappa from Rhodes College. He received his Juris Doctor with distinction from Emory University. Tuggle presently serves on the Tennessee Governor’s Council for Judicial Appointments and has been recognized by the University of Memphis Law School as a Pillar of the Legal Community.
